Service Enhancements – Week of October 9, 2017

Changes/updates since last Blue Top

  • Maintenance was completed as scheduled the weekend of Sept. 30. This release included routine monthly maintenance, Entrust maintenance, and the USAccess Software Release 11, which included web enrollment for the new Credentialing Units (CUs). The final version of the release notice is posted on the Agency Lead Portal.

  • Maintenance completed by Certificate Authority (CA) vendor, Entrust, on Sept. 19
  • Adjusted Agency Specific Criteria (ASC) for Department of Education
  • Configured PIV-I for the Small Business Administration, U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and Department of Commerce

  • Configured American Battle Monuments Commission to begin issuing

Planned system events

  • USAccess Software Release 11 will be pushed to production on Saturday, Sept. 23. Please plan for the USAccess service to be unavailable from 5:30 a.m. Eastern on Saturday, Sept. 23 through 11:59 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, Sept. 24.

Annual Disaster Recovery Exercise July 28-31

The annual USAccess Disaster Recovery (DR) Exercise will run THIS WEEKEND from Friday, July 28 to Monday, July 31. The exercise includes a fail-over of all critical system functions from the primary data center to the secondary back-up data center facility. As a result, all role holder portals and workflow functionality will be unavailable during this exercise.

Service Enhancements – Week of June 19, 2017

Changes/updates since last Blue Top

  • USAccess Software Release 10.4 went in to production as scheduled on June 10. This release implemented the new VA Certificate Authority (VACA) that is part of the onboarding efforts of the Department of Veterans Affairs to the USAccess Program, and it only impacts VA.
