It’s getting cloudy in here! GSA hosted its first government wide Reverse Industry Training event on June 28, 2018. Hosted by the Office of Procurement Ombudsman and the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Implementation (FedRAMP), the event focused on Cloud adoption and migration, and was designed to help government work through the challenges and issues facing Cloud adoption. The event provided the federal workforce with an opportunity to address concerns faced by their agencies and grow a better understanding of adopting and transmitting to Cloud services.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recently released a Request for Information (RFI) regarding a potential cloud computing procurement opportunity for the future. As a result, the GSA Cloud Computing Services Program Management Office (CCS PMO) is inviting companies that provide cloud computing services to apply to list their solutions on the CCS Special Item Number (SIN) 132 40 on GSA’s IT Schedule 70.

The IT Schedule 70 Cloud Program Management Office (PMO) hosted an onsite Industry Day on November 18th and would like to thank industry members for participating in our event. During that meeting, we shared insights from the Cloud SIN RFI responses, responded to participants questions, and discussed the path forward on the Cloud SIN. We received some great feedback and look forward to our continued collaboration throughout this process.
