Increase your competitiveness with new environmental training

With GSA including environmental considerations in more contract solicitations every year, we’re sharing new training to help vendors reduce energy costs, protect the environment, and increase their competitiveness in winning GSA contracts. The training focuses on easy steps vendors can take to reduce their energy costs and associated greenhouse gas pollution, which causes global warming. GSA recognizes our obligation to safeguard America’s future by purchasing products and services that minimize our impact on the environment.

GSA Seeks Responses to Climate Change Adaptation Services RFI

Do you have ideas on how to support federal climate change adaptation activities? GSA wants to hear from you. 

GSA issued a Request for Information (RFI) to evaluate the emerging marketplace for services to support federal climate change adaptation activities. This RFI will help GSA gather information to determine what actions are needed to ensure climate change adaptation services are readily available for its customers.

Building Strategic Awareness: Understanding Climate Change

 

When Superstorm Sandy slammed into the eastern seaboard of the United States in late October, it left behind a devastating path of destruction.  Millions were left without power, more than 100 people lost their lives, shorelines and the homes along them were destroyed, wind damaged homes and toppled trees, and the usually bustling streets of New York City’s Financial District were flooded, washing away cars and not to mention closing the New York Stock Exchange for the first time due to weather since the late 1800s.
