Interact Question #6 – Standardized Information Technology (IT) Service Labor Categories

Thank you to all that have contributed here – your input is helping to shape GSA’s next GWACs and we appreciate your input.

So far we have discussed Standardized IT Service Labor Categories and – as many of you are aware – we are seriously considering this type of standardization as part of the Alliant 2 GWAC family of contracts in an effort to improve reporting capabilities and follow trends and indicators as the contracts move through their respective life cycle.

Interact Question #5 - Labor Categories Not Subdivided by Knowledge/Skill Level

Thank you for your previous input on Interact Question #1 – Labor Categories. Your input & feedback is greatly appreciated as many of the contributions & comments received are being considered.

Many of the labor categories under the current GSA Alliant and Alliant Small Business GWACs are further subdivided by knowledge/skill level (i.e., Entry-Level, Journeyman, Senior, Master).   The approach being considered under Alliant 2 (A2) & Alliant 2 Small Business (A2SB) is to not further subdivide labor categories by knowledge/skill level.

Hope this post finds everyone well (or at least tolerating) and would ask that you consider our next area of research required to form the Alliant 2 family of contracts.

This post will address the emerging trends associated with information technology and contract inclusions required to ensure the new Alliant family is market focused and capable of offering solutions to agencies for many years to come.

Interact Question #4 – Quality/Technical Certifications

In an effort to assure customers that the GSA Alliant 2 GWAC program will maintain the highest levels of Information Technology (IT) services by awarding to premier IT contractors with quality/technical competencies, the GSA Alliant 2 GWAC program is considering adding requirements of generally accepted certifications as criteria for the next Alliant 2 family of GWAC contracts (Alliant 2 and Alliant 2 Small Business). The quality/technical certifications that are emerging thus far as appropriate for consideration are ISO 9000 series and CMMI.

Clarification/Update - Interact Question #3 - Cyber Security Risk Management Plan

Thank you all for your valuable input and suggestions. In an effort to clear the confusion between the Alliant team’s question and a more government wide effort that is currently being socialized, please consider the proposed Alliant 2 Cyber Risk Management Plan (CRMP) is separate from, but complementary to, the implementation of Executive Order 13636.
