The more our government pushes us to create green products, the more we see sustainable progress in our country.

The motion picture industry has become more sustainable with the invention of digital recording. We use less film and chemicals to process our product.

It's also less expensive to work digitally, the cost of buying film reels and paying a lab to develop is far greater than what the present technology offers.

GSA is already taking a leading role with its purchases of U.S. made hybrid cars and major rennovations of its real estate properties with an eye toward meeting LEED standards.

Another great example is hosting the the GreenGov Supply Chain Summit in partnership with The White House Council on Environmental Quality. I'm looking forward to attending this Summit next week in Chicago. Sage Communications is honored to be selected as one of the government contractors to participate in the Supplier Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory Pilot Initiative. It's voluntary activites like these, rather than government mandates, that will get the broadest support from industry.
