GSA Awards Contract to Develop the New Common Catalog Platform

GSA’s Catalog Management Office (CMO) is thrilled to announce that an award was made to CGI Federal to develop the new Common Catalog Platform (CCP). The CCP will replace the antiquated desktop-based Schedule Input Program (SIP) with a modern, Application Programming Interface (API)-accessible, web-based application for managing catalog data. The CCP will integrate with contracting systems to streamline the offer and modification process, and reduce the administrative burden associated with working in disjointed systems. The CCP will also introduce new functionalities that make it easier to manage catalogs, and ultimately improve the quality of data collected for GSA Advantage!

In the long term, the CMO intends to make data from GSA’s new Verified Products Portal (VPP) available in the CCP to reduce the burden associated with reporting details for Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) products. This will also enable GSA to standardize COTS product details such as manufacturer name, part number, item name, and technical description to ensure customers see consistent, reliable information.

The CMO is grateful to all of the members of the MAS community who contributed to the CCP requirements through focus groups and surveys over the last year, and we look forward to continuing to work with the MAS community as the CCP is developed. We will share more details as available, and will continue to offer regular updates on this Catalog Management Interact Page.
