Director of Administration

The U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission has the task of designing and commemorating the 250th birthday of our
nation in 2026. In 2019 the Commission authorized the creation of the America 250 Foundation and has contracted
them for the day-to-day operations in the planning and execution of the commemoration.
In addition to working with the Executive Director, the Director of Administration is responsible for supporting
efforts across the organization (Commission and Foundation) as part of the Admin Council.
Responsibilities include:
● Serve as the organizational POC in coordination with the Executive Director
● Manage and/or execute any organizational operational and administrative needs
● Serve on the Foundation Admin Council to promote coordination between organizations
● Coordinate IT needs with special advisor to Executive Director
● Coordinate logistics for commission staff with Executive Director
● Manage and execute the Commission payroll
● Manage the reimbursement process for the Commissioners
● Handle confidential documents, information and paperwork
● Serve as the point of contact for the GSA and other government agencies and contractors
● Coordinate the Commission personnel/HR needs with GSA
● Coordinate and manage the Commission office space with GSA
● Coordinate and manage the Commission Treasury accounts with GSA
● Coordinate and manage the work with GSA detailee to:
Provide monthly reconciled cash balances for all Treasury accounts, as well as reconciliation of charges against those accounts including obligated funds.
Manage and interpret all communications from GSA and other government agencies and contractors.
Communicate to staff of Commission and America250, the findings from these communications and any actions that need to happen based on them.
Coordinate and execute any deliverables that are needed based on these communications and any GSA contracts.
Coordinate and execute any reports, forms and documents that are needed for reimbursements, accruals, obligations and reporting.
Create an electronic filing system for all communications, reports and deliverables for GSA and other government agencies and contractors as a repository.
