The New Design of beta.SAM.gov is Here

The wait is over! After much hard work, user feedback and helpful suggestions from stakeholders, the new design of beta.SAM.gov has arrived! GSA’s Integrated Award Environment (IAE) unveiled the new look-and-feel of beta.SAM.gov on April 26, 2021,  a design offering an enhanced search experience, new landing pages for each domain, as well as a centralized space for help and training resources.

SAM.gov is still the authoritative site for entity registrations, exclusions, SCR and BioProferred reporting.  If you need to search for entity registration or exclusions records, please do so at SAM.gov to ensure you are accessing the most current authoritative data.

We are excited to bring you improved usability for navigating and searching data on beta.SAM.gov.  Your input, feedback, and participation in focus groups and industry presentations have been essential to the success of this new user experience.  Whether you are new to beta.SAM.gov or an experienced user, you will find that the new, streamlined experience will easily get you to the information you need with easy to access help,  if you need it.

To familiarize you with the new search features that are available watch this short video. In addition, we put together a Before and After Video as well as a Before and After Guide to help you get familiar with the new design.

The new design sets the stage for the full integration of SAM.gov into the beta.SAM.gov environment on May 24, 2021.  Current users of beta.SAM.gov have roughly a month to become familiar with the new look-and-feel of beta.SAM.gov before the two systems merge. The integration of SAM.gov and beta.SAM.gov will be our largest to date. Remember, once these two systems merge, the site will just be SAM.gov (no more ‘beta’). With the integral feedback from our many user communities, we are excited to reach this key milestone.

As with all transitions the process is iterative and agile - what you see today on launch day is not the final version and your continuous feedback is and always will be welcome. We will continue to improve, refine, and add capabilities to each functional area of beta.SAM.gov (soon to be SAM.gov) as we continue to make the system more user-friendly and less burdensome.

As we continue to iterate and improve IAE systems, we follow the U.S. Web Design System and GSA standards for digital experiences.  Please share your thoughts on the usability and functionality of beta.SAM.gov using the feedback tool located at the footer of each page.
