OASIS DPA Training

June 3, 2020

1:00 p.m. ET- 2:30 p.m. ET (10:00 - 11:30 a.m. PT)

Registration Link

DPA training gives Contracting Officers access to the OASIS Unrestricted and OASIS Small Business contract vehicles and teaches best practices for task order issuance. A single DPA will be issued for both OASIS and OASIS SB. Warranted contracting officers (a contracting officer appointed pursuant to FAR 1.603) can request and Delegation of Procurement Authority (DPA), which allows direct access to our GWACs. The DPA clearly delineates the roles and responsibilities between the GSA contracting officer and the ordering contracting officer, and complies with the Office of Management and Budget's (OMB) executive agent designation to GSA.

DPA requestors must have a .gov or .mil email address. Requestors who do not have a .gov or .mil email address must submit a copy of their warrant as a federal contracting officer to oasisdpa@gsa.gov for consideration.

Remember, you can sign up for OASIS DPA training at any time through DAU’s Virtual Campus by searching FAC 152.

Industry Partner Briefing - Awards Exploration Tool

June 9, 2020

2:00 - 3:00 p.m. ET (11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. PT)

Join this session to learn about the Awards Exploration Tool, now public and available to industry on the Acquisition Gateway. The Awards Exploration Tool combines Federal Procurement Data System with the category management taxonomy. It can help industry partners use the category management framework to identify expiring contracts (and potential business opportunities) by filtering for Dept/Agency/Office, Obligation Classification, Award Details and Vendor Details.

In an ongoing effort to partner with industry on category management and help agencies buy smarter and more efficiently, GSA has made category management dashboards that were previously “federal only” open to industry as well. Originally designed as tools just for the federal acquisition workforce, the dashboards layer category management taxonomy (like categories of spend and contract vehicle tiers) in a way that provides context to how government is using data to be a better steward of taxpayer dollars. This webinar is part of our Industry Summer Training Series.

HCaTS DPA Training

June 11, 2020, and June 25, 2020

1:00 p.m. ET- 2:00 p.m. ET (10:00 - 11:00 a.m. PT)

Registration Link

HCaTS consists of two indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) government-wide contract vehicles: HCaTS and HCaTS SB. These vehicles provide reliable, flexible, fast and efficient ways to obtain the best value customized solutions for human capital management and training requirements.

Before issuing task orders under HCaTS, Federal Contracting Officers (COs) must complete training and receive a Delegation of Procurement Authority (DPA). This training covers: basic contract information, scope, ordering process, roles and responsibilities, and resources for HCaTS.

Office Hours: How do I get more responses to my RFI, RFQ for professional services?

June 11, 2020

1:00 - 2:00 p.m. ET (10:00 - 11:00 a.m. PT)

Registration Link

Why is it challenging to get responses to RFIs and RFQs when GSA has thousands of qualified industry partners across its marketplace? The challenge is often communication and capturing the attention of industry partners who, like you, have competing priorities. It’s critical to have a clear plan describing Who, What, When, Where, Why and How we communicate with our industry partners. Join our training to learn  best practices to improve your interaction with industry partners.

Our monthly Office Hours webinars are free, on-line webinars designed to answer your questions about professional-services acquisitions and to help you find the right solution for complex requirements. Each Office Hours webinar is an open-forum session connecting federal Contracting Officers and other federal contracting professionals with GSA experts. Earn 1 CLP!
