Have Offerings That Can Support Federal Agencies During COVID-19? Respond to Our COVID-19 Request for Information (RFI)

Are you familiar with GSA’s Market Research as a Service (MRAS), a value-added service that supports all federal agencies in their market research efforts? One of the key benefits is you’re part of the MRAS inventory list used to educate customers on all GSA offerings available to support their mission-critical needs. Those offerings include how to best manage safety and health in federally occupied spaces in response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus).

To help federal agencies, as well as state, local, and tribal organizations, during this unprecedented time, the MRAS team put together a key resource to connect our industry partners with buyers:

Industry COVID-19 Request for Information (RFI): By responding to this RFI, industry gets daily emails asking for updates on available Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

The MRAS Program is a value-added service available at no cost to federal agencies that provides a market research report to help find solutions for current needs. This program is compliant with FAR Part 10 and better aligns GSA contracts with customer requirements, streamlining the RFI process. It also helps agencies select a business size that is appropriate for their requirements and reduces procurement lead time.

After determining if the customer requirement is a good fit for a GSA-offered solution, the MRAS team designs an interactive RFI based on customer needs, issues the RFI to our industry partners, and compiles a market research report based on the data collected - providing the agency with a greater understanding of the results that can be expected under the contract(s) researched. This report consists of socio-economic dynamics, technical capabilities, and overall business information.

Since it began in FY2018, the MRAS Program has analyzed $35B in federal contracts across 525 research projects, and has done so in a process that is up to 70 percent faster than before.
