The Latest Updates to beta.SAM.gov: More Functionality Now Available in Contract Opportunities

Now that FBO.gov (Federal Business Opportunities) has retired and its key functionalities have been transitioned, beta.SAM.gov is the authoritative source for contract opportunities. GSA recently issued an update to the contract opportunities function in beta.SAM.gov, including the ability to receive email notifications about your saved searches.

To turn on notifications, go to your saved search and choose Notify from the Actions menu.

Search results email notifications are sent once each day at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time. After the notification is received, you can log in to beta.SAM.gov and run your saved searches to see all results, including any new items. To prominently display the new results within the search, you can sort the results by the “last updated” date.

In addition to the email notifications, some errors regarding attachments have been resolved. Users no longer need to remove special characters from attachment names to be able to download attachments, and an error that caused some authorized users to be unable to download controlled attachments has been resolved.

The IAE uses Agile development, which means our production is iterative. Your feedback is critical as we build beta.SAM.gov. Future releases will address additional features users have requested and any additional errors that are discovered.

Read about additional changes included in the January 10 release in the release notes. As always, if you have comments or suggestions on any aspect of beta.SAM.gov, you can click the link to provide feedback.

I still need help. I have not found the "saved search" page to be able to set the drop down bar to "notify". Feeling lost.
