GSA Issues Request for Information (RFI) for Federal Service Desk Support

The United States General Services Administration on November 2 issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking comments and capability statements on a draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) for supporting the Federal Service Desk (FSD).

The FSD portal is the single support contact point and resource center for IAE applications that acquisition and financial assistance professionals utilize during the contract/financial assistance award and management process.  The FSD provides Tier 0 and Tier 1 service request support for all IAE systems and Tier 2 service request support for the System for Award Management (SAM). GSA issued a draft FSD PWS via GSA eBuy to Alliant Large Business, Alliant Small Business, STARS 2 8(a) and VETS 2.  In addition to requesting capability statements from interested parties, the draft PWS solicits feedback on innovations such as: use of automation to more efficiently deliver helpdesk services while maintaining a high level of customer service, approach to customer support identity security and general comments and suggestions, which will be used to inform the final PWS and RFP.

Comments and capability statements are due 11/15/2018.
