An Open Dialog around Commercial Platforms

Thank you to everyone for the continued feedback that we’ve received on Commercial e-commerce portals. All of our questions are designed to help us understand this market and to create an open and transparent process. We have heard your feedback and care about your concerns. Over the next months there will be continued opportunities for feedback through public meetings, requests for information (RFIs), and regular one-on-one meetings with suppliers, portal providers, and integrators.

One recent update that you may have seen is a blog that I wrote on GSA.gov specific to the Commercial Platform initiative and where we stand today. I saw this as an opportunity to provide an update to a wide variety of stakeholders as to what we accomplished in Phase I, and our primary areas of interest now that we’re focused on meeting the requirements of Phase II. It’s a quick read that I think is relevant to this audience (here’s the link to it).

As I look ahead, I’m excited about our continued opportunities for conversation, to include the public meeting on June 21st. We also just released two RFIs for feedback, focused on 1) providers of commercial e-commerce portals, and 2) suppliers selling on commercial e-commerce portals. We will also continue to conduct our one-on-one meetings.  All of this information will inform our March 2019 deliverable at the end of Phase II.

In addition, I will post more frequently to Interact, as a way of providing updates on key topics of interest related to the Commercial Platform initiative.  I would encourage you to stay connected via this Interact community as we look to further engage in the coming weeks and months, so please subscribe to ensure that you receive timely updates.

Thank you again for your continued feedback and dialog as it relates to the Commercial Platform initiative. I look forward to seeing and hearing from you tomorrow.
