Industry Day Role Management for Industry - What’s Next?

This is a final reminder to register to participate in the next Integrated Award Environment (IAE) industry outreach event to be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM ET. We will be making a major announcement and discussing the exciting changes that are coming.

During July and August 2017, 54 industry volunteers participated in focus groups to provide their insight on managing their user accounts, roles, organizations, and work spaces across SAM, FBO, FPDS, PPIRS, CPARS, FAPIIS, eSRS, and FSRS.  GSA is grateful for all of the feedback you provided.  

 

This Industry Day we’re eager to share the focus group results with the industry community and how we are acting quickly on many of the suggestions. Join us on September 26, as we review your feedback and discuss these role management plans for industry:

 

  • Industry Roles and Permissions.  We are undertaking a complete overhaul of existing roles and permissions; and defining roles and permissions that are aligned with organization of the new website.
  • How roles are assigned.  We are standardizing how roles are assigned across the legacy application functionality.  This means significantly changing how roles will be assigned for things like past performance.
  • Managing an organization across all entities, users, and data.  This will be new!  We are providing consolidated, high-level administrative capabilities for managing users and data across all your entities and all application functionality as it is migrated from all of the legacy systems.  This is a major undertaking and, to be done well, will require validation from industry.

A recording of the full session on September 26, 2017, all handouts, and other materials will also be posted online in the IAE Interact Industry Community following the event.
