IAE Industry Day: Role Management, Workspace, and More - What Does Industry Need?

Dear Industry Partners,


You are invited to participate in the next Integrated Award Environment (IAE) industry outreach event to be held on June 13, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM ET.  We will discuss upcoming user engagement opportunities and ways you can help us shape your user experience in the new environment, beta.SAM.gov. To allow for maximum participation, this event is entirely virtual.


While IAE is busy maintaining the current 10 systems, we are simultaneously developing a new system, beta.SAM.gov, which will encompass and enhance those current 10 systems’ functionality. All 10 current systems will be unified into this one systematic domain as a central site for doing business with the U.S. federal government.


Industry Day 13 will focus on introducing beta.SAM.gov, and gaining industry input on role management, workspace, entity registration, and other topics. We will demonstrate the approach we are taking to role management on the federal side as a starting point to discussion of what industry needs.  We will also show where we are at with workspace and entity registration design. In addition, we will discuss all of the functions for beta.SAM.gov user engagement, including:


-How we have engaged users to-date in building beta.SAM.gov

-All of the alpha testing that has occurred to-date

-How to become involved in both alpha and beta testing moving forward

Christy Hermansen, the Design Lead for IAE, beta.SAM.gov, will lead the discussion about these changes. There will be ample time for questions and answers at the end of the program.

This is the 13th in a series of Industry Day events initiated by IAE to increase openness and transparency about the IAE program, the 10 systems we run, and the progress being made on the new environment that will merge the systems together.
