Agencies are reminded to take action on their Light Credentialing and Light Activation Stations to ensure they are updated with the latest Windows updates and patches, and Antivirus definitions. Since the Agencies own these stations, the MSO and HPE do not release Windows operating systems updates or antivirus updates for the Light stations. It is each Agency's responsibility to ensure Operating System patches and Antivirus software are kept up to date on all Light stations.

There have been ongoing issues following an update made with our CA vendor the weekend of February 25-26. The MSO has sent regular email to Agency leads making them aware of the issues and their status. Below are the remaining issues and workarounds. Please communicate these to your activators or refer them to TRACKS where information has been posted. 1. Duplicate records exist and impact PCA and Attended Activation search results:

We encourage agency customers to ensure their information in Site Manager is kept up to date. Agencies should be maintaining all Site Manager information on an ongoing basis. This is especially important for the Site POC information. We have seen many instances recently where packages have been deemed undeliverable because the Ship To POC included on the mailing label is no longer at the site. Please review your Site and Ship To POCs to ensure they are up to date.

Social Engineering and Phishing No matter how much expertise and money your agency puts into securing its network and data assets—firewalls, security appliances, encryption, etc.—the human component of the security system is the most critical and quite often the most vulnerable. Social Engineering and Phishing are two techniques employed to attack the human component. Social Engineering

Please plan for the USAccess service and role holder portals to be unavailable for most of the weeend for Release 10.2. This release launches the Temporary Card pilot with the U.S. Department of Treasury. While Treasury is the only agency who can issue temporary cards during this pilot, there are some areas (Applicant Status Report, Reports Portal) where role holders from all agencies will see references to temporary cards.

The USAccess program is currently undergoing our semi-annual distribution list cleanup. As part of this process we reached out to Agency Leads via email to confirm Agency Lead Portal users, financial POCs, and the USAccess distribution list members. Agency Leads should respond to this email by February 28. The MSO appreciates your assistance in this effort.

Please remember that the USAccess program and the U.S.Department of Homeland Security (DHS) requires us to accept two identity documents for applicant enrollment, one Primary and one Secondary. Please see “List of Acceptable Forms of Identification Guide” on FedIDCard.gov for details. A second document from the Primary forms of identification list can be used as a Secondary proof of identity. However, two forms of identification from the Secondary forms of identification list are not approved for applicant enrollment
