Beginning Saturday, Aug. 8, 2020, the Mass Mod portal will move to a two-step, multi-factor authentication (MFA) process, eliminating the digital certification requirement. This change aligns with GSA’s overall IT modernization efforts to build and maintain a more modern and secure infrastructure for its IT systems. Please see the instructions document liked in the post for more information.

We are pleased to announce that today GSA begins Phase 3 of Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) Consolidation. This requires all current contractors with more than one contract to consolidate their offerings down to one contract per unique entity identifier (UEI), e.g. Data Universal Numbers System (DUNS) number. This final phase of MAS Consolidation begins as Phase 2 officially closed on July 31, 2020 with 99% of contractors having signed the Mass Mod by the deadline.

If your awareness of GSA’s Multiple Award Schedule or MAS program stops with the year 2019 - or earlier - it’s time to give us another look. Our MAS contract vehicle has totally changed since 2019. We’ve modernized federal acquisition and improved the buying experience by consolidating our 24 existing schedules into a single Schedule for products, services, and solutions and addressed a lack of consistency across the Schedules.

GSA’s eBuy is a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Request for Information (RFI) system that lets government buyers request information, find sources, and request and receive quotes from GSA contractors who have been awarded a Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) contract. Did you know that Other Direct Costs (ODCs) for services may be included in eBuy quotes as either open market items or Order Level Materials (OLMs)? Read the full post for all the details.

To be in full compliance with the MAS Consolidation Mass Mod A812, all contractors must complete these two important steps by the end of March 2021: 1. Update their catalog in GSA Advantage; 2. Update their Price List (text file). Have questions? The MAS PMO is hosting regular monthly office hours. Join us for the next one on October 15!

Over the weekend of Oct. 10, 2020, the supplier side of GSA’s eBuy platform was updated for security purposes to a two-step, multi-factor authentication (MFA) process using GSA FAS ID - a secure, centralized identity management system that lets users access many GSA applications with one email and password. GSA FAS ID was created as part of our overall IT modernization effort and has already been implemented on the FAS Sales Reporting Portal (SRP), GSA Advantage Purchase Order Portal, GSA Vendor Portal, and the Mass Mod Portal.
