My company is a schedule 51V contract holder.  I have been attempting for a while now to submit an economic price adjustment (increase).  Everytime it is rejected, it is for a different reason.  That in itself has been very frustrating.  It seems like an incredible waste of resources from all aspects to reject based on the first mistake as opposed to reviewing the whole modification.

Does excessive passthrough apply to GSA orders? If a prime contractor proposes 90% subcontract effort would excessive passthrough requirements of showing added value be applicable?

I requested the contract for an incumbent service provider and the USMS responded to the FOIA request with,"Look it up on FBO.gov," essentially. How do you look up post award contracts on FBO.gov? And are all contracts awarded archived there?

Is there a resource, a check list, that itemizes the requirements for a new schedule? A list of what needs to be gathered and submitted?

I work for a large business trying to obtain a MAS GSA contract under schedule 66. The commercial products we sell are manufactured by a different company and unfortunately they are a large business too.  We were told by a consulting firm we are unable to put these products on the proposed price list because they are a large business and we are only allowed to add small business products on our price list.  I understand a large business has to put together a subcontracting plan but we don't contract any of our services or products out.  We do sell to the local companies around the nation an

Yesterday I got a call from a very nice guy asking me some questions and trying to see if a GSA Contract would be worth pursuing for his customer. He specifically asked me how many government contracts go through the GSA, and I didn't know the exact answer, so I did some research. Comparing GSA sales numbers from the GSA Schedule Search Query (SSQ) to overall federal contract numbers from usaspending.gov, I was able to calculate the percentages of federal contracts that are GSA contracts from 2008 - 2011. I turned he results into a blogpost here:

I'm curious to understand how the buyer decides which factors determine purchasing items open market verses the EXACT same items on our FSS contract. We are the ONLY contractor to have those items on a FSS Class 65II-A contract. We notified the agent by phone and by read-receipt email, that those items are awarded on our contract, listed on the MSPV, and on GSA Advantage. The read-receipt email was viewed, and the phone call was ignored.

We have had our MAS for just over 5 years and have noticed a sharp decline in sales from this particular contrac since January 2011.  We have a link on our company website to the GSA Advantage! site in the hopes that various gov't purchasing agents will utilize it but this doesn't seem to be happening.  Does anyone have any suggestions of ways we can market our MAS to help increase sales? Thanks! Evan Force, ServCorp Inc.
