Forgive my ignorance, but what (or who) is the ASP?
    Will Fortier
ASP is the Symphony Platform which is the tool industry will use during the proposal submission phase.

There has been a veritable tornado of activity:   With ASTRO anticipated to be released somewhere around August 19th, many of our Industry Partners are wondering where the solicitation will be posted and what training events will take place.  Navigating this journey is as simple as following the yellow brick road!

ASTRO Anticipates Leading The Charge For Unpriced Civilian IDIQS!   GREAT NEWS!  It has been a long time coming, but it should soon be here!!!  GSA’s Industry Partners and supporting associations have long sought the ability for IDIQ contracts to be awarded without consideration of price as an evaluation factor in favor of the common understanding that price will always be considered at the Task Order level.  Recent changes to law are now making that desire a possible reality!

Todd & Team - this would be great. Would definitely help on the resource side of developing a bid response. Can you provide an update for Final RFP release?

Will, thanks for posting. Can you confirm the new timeframe posted on Govwin for the final RFP release?
    Will Fortier
The ASTRO team is not tracking timeframes posted by 3rd parties, so we won't be able to speak to their accuracy. The RFP release is still targeted for this FY (likely 4th quarter).

Can you comment on the anticipated release date? Is it still August or has it pushed to Sept/Oct 2020?

The Consultants May Be Misleading You!!! Predictions of minimum scores on ASTRO are FAKE NEWS!!! Hello ASTRO Community! Practically every day (and often multiple times per day), the ASTRO team hears something along the lines of “We heard that we need to score XXX number of points or we shouldn’t even bother proposing on ASTRO.”   Well folks, the ASTRO team is making this special announcement to all potential Offerors:

Hello ASTRO Community! Thank you to those who are submitting projects like we requested.  We feel this has been very beneficial to Industry and Government alike.  We have noticed some things and fielded some questions around what needs to be submitted to validate scope and/or scoring elements, so we wanted to provide some guidance on the subject. Tip #1:

Hello ASTRO Community! As we go through questions, recommendations, and document submissions, we begin to realize where further clarifications are necessary and where it makes sense to make edits to the draft solicitation documents.  One such area is the requirement for any project submitted in any Pool of ASTRO to be platform related.  We are seeing many examples of keyword searches that forego being within the context of a Pool or Domain definition.  The following questions and answers elaborate more on this:

Hello ASTRO Community! We have asked and continue to ask for project submissions from Industry to check for scoring validation and Pool applicability.  For those of you who have taken advantage of this already, please accept a genuine “thank you” from the ASTRO Team!  We’ve already discovered a number of issues that seem to be confusing people and we will be addressing those things in a series of upcoming blogs designed to clarify certain aspects of the ASTRO draft solicitation.
