Under most typical building maintenance and operations service contracts, instances will arise that will require contractors to provide services not initially defined in the contract scope and/or under the initial statement of work.
GSA has learned that a variety of building maintenance and operations services contract lengths exist across government and private industry. GSA would like to hear from BMO service providers about what trends you are seeing in regards to contract lengths
GSA is trying to determine whether automated operational systems should be included as an optional service within the future BMO solution. We also would like to get feedback from those companies and federal agencies involved with building automation.
GSA plans to standardize its labor categories for services offered by the awarded BMO vendors. We have developed a list of these based on the U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) system. Are we missing any?
GSA is proposing that services to be offered under the future BMO solution be divided into two service groups: Operations and Maintenance and Facility Support. Under each group, some services will be mandatory, others optional.
