Professional Services Office Hours: Statement of Work Library Demo

Join us for the October Professional Services virtual Office Hours for the Federal Acquisition Community. This month Brad Powers,Senior Program Manager within the GSA’s Common Acquisition Platform (CAP) Program Management Office, will demo and discuss the Statement of Work Library (SOWL) on the Acquisition Gateway.

Earlier this year, GSA added a Statement of Work Library (SOWL) to the Acquisition Gateway that allows federal contracting officers to review sample work statements for context and insight that may help them develop their own unique requirements. The current repository contains: Statements of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), and Statements of Objectives (SOO).
Since it was released in January 2015, it has been the single most visited tool on the Acquisition Gateway with over 6000 pageviews on the library homepage alone!
The contents of the SOWL come from many sources, including contracting professionals and industry partners. This walkthrough will demonstrate the search functionality and recently added content filters that allow users to drill down into specific subsets. We will also discuss our current (beta) methodology for vetting content, and how we are leaving the determination of the relative "usefulness" of these documents to the Gateway user community as the concept of "usefulness" is highly subjective and often situational. 
The ultimate goal is to create a tool for acquisition professionals to share samples of their best work and allow others to learn from and further improve upon those efforts.

GSA's Professional Services monthly Office Hours are designed to address federal customer agency questions about professional services acquisition. The Office Hours focus on a variety of professional service acquisition solutions such as OASIS and OASIS Small Business, the Professional Services Schedule consolidation, Blanket Purchase Agreement evaluation factors, NAICS codes and set asides, and more.

Office Hours are open forum question and answer webinar sessions connecting contracting officers at federal customer agencies with GSA professional services contracting subject matter experts. Attendees can get support to their questions for finding the right solution for their complex professional services acquisition needs.
