Throughout the month of October, the government-wide Professional Services Category will be shining a “spotlight” on supplier relationship management (SRM), an industry best practice that is gaining momentum by the federal government.

The spotlight includes a webinar on reverse industry days (RID) and a series of articles from SRM specialists at federal agencies across government, including overviews, a Government Accounting Office case, and a detailed breakdown of a recent Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reverse industry day.

The SRM webinar will take an in-depth look at reverse industry days . RID are a unique format for industry-government interaction, launched by DHS’ Procurement Innovation Lab, that has caught the attention of the acquisition workforce and industry alike. Fiscal year 2017 has seen these RIDs widely adopted across government.

During this 90 minute webinar, speakers from DOD, DHS, IRS and GSA, will share what they have learned from hosting a RID and how they plan to use that information to strengthen their industry relationships and improve their acquisition processes in the future. The webinar is open to federal acquisition professionals only.
