The governmentwide Professional Services Category (PSC) will be shining a “spotlight” on several hot topics in the coming months through a series of interactive webinars. The “Spotlight” webinars are designed to share sound acquisition practices, from requirements development and market research to service delivery and contract close-out, and improve acquisition through inter-agency collaboration.

 

These webinars and shared resources support the governmentwide category management initiatives to make smarter and more efficient buying decisions. All webinars are open to the federal acquisition workforce and offer Certified Learning Points. In addition, webinars are recorded and posted on the Acquisition Gateway.

 

May 17: GSA SmartPay3

 

GSA SmartPay® is the world’s largest government charge card program, with 3.4 million accounts across 560 customer agencies, organizations, and Native American tribal governments. Since program inception in 1998, GSA SmartPay has enabled $488 billion in total spend through 1.67 billion transactions, generating over $3.67 billion in agency refunds. In September 2017. GSA announced that Citibank, N.A. and U.S. Bank were awarded contracts for GSA SmartPay® 3, the next generation of the SmartPay purchase, travel, fleet, and integrated charge card services program. During this webinar David Shea, Director of GSA's Center for Charge Card Management,  will present an overview of the GSA SmartPay Program, detail current GSA SmartPay 2 statistics, provide an overview of the newly awarded GSA SmartPay 3 contract and its new product and service offerings, share best practices for card use for contract payments and professional services, and share some myth-busting facts about the GSA SmartPay Program and card use. The intended audience for this presentation is Contracting Officers/ Specialists, as well as anyone who is interested in learning more about GSA SmartPay payment solutions.
