Tacoma, Washington (Tentative)

GSA's Professional Services and Human Capital Categories Portfolio is planning an Industry Day and Customer Workshop for June 6-8, 2017 in Tacoma, Washington. The three day event will include a 1 1/2 day Industry Day; a OASIS Program Management Review; a Human Capital and Training Solutions (HCaTS) Program Management Review; and Customer Workshop. Times noted above are listed in Pacific Time.

Industry Day

Industry groups and suppliers are integral to the success of category management to improve performance and reduce costs. The purpose of this event is to foster a positive relationship with suppliers and industry groups. Our goal is to proactively engage with industry to obtain their perspective to improve efficiency and value for the federal government and to establish ongoing communications. The intent is to move the government-supplier relationship to one that is fundamentally more collaborative in nature.

The goal is to achieve interaction between GSA FAS contracting personnel and GSA vendors thru extensive training sessions. From this, attendees will leave realizing that they are partnered with the premier partner when it comes to either accessing or providing commercial services and products in the federal marketplace.

Program reviews required by contract to ensure appropriate use of the OASIS and OASIS SB and HCaTS and HCaTS SB contracts and provide customers an opportunity to meet industry partners to help generate marketshare for the contract program.

Customer Workshop

Program Managers and acquisition professional from the Pacific Northwest will be able to participate in education sessions that showcase the latest innovative acquisition techniques, best practices and federal acquisition service business processes. For federal attendees, the education includes acquisition training courses that meet the criteria for Continuing Learning Points (CLPs) required under the Clinger-Cohen Act and Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) for contracting officers and program manager.
