Verified Products Portal Data to Supplement Contractor Catalogs on GSA Advantage! in October

Attention MAS contractors:

An exciting update is coming to GSA Advantage! that will ensure Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) products are more accurately represented in the federal marketplace and that customers have access to consistent, reliable data.

Beginning Oct. 15, 2021, new authoritative product content sourced from the Verified Products Portal (VPP) will be displayed on GSA Advantage!. VPP data including product descriptions, images, and PDF attachments (such as user guides and installation manuals) will be used to supplement (not replace) contractor-submitted catalogs whenever available.

In future project phases, GSA will look to make VPP data available to contractors to populate their catalogs via the new Common Catalog Platform (CCP), GSA’s planned replacement for the Schedule Input Program (SIP). This will reduce the effort associated with managing catalog details and ensure that products are consistently represented across catalogs.
