<p>I really love the fact that GSA is looking out for the Small Business owners. &nbsp;So when I am able to help the automotive repair shop owners, update their information on the SAM site, it is very rewarding. &nbsp;I just wanted to see if, we could modify some of the requirements, that really do not apply. &nbsp;For example, I copied the following note from SAM:</p><p><span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; outline: 0px; font-weight: bold; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; vertical-align: top; zoom: 1; line-height: 20px;">* Note:</span><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; line-height: 20px;">&nbsp;An entity within the SAM system includes prime contractors, organizations or individuals applying for assistance awards, those receiving loans, sole proprietors, corporations, partnerships, and any Federal government agencies desiring to do business with the government.</span></p><p>If SAM added an entity that is specifically for the automotive mechanic vendors, to assuire that the shops meet the requirments as listed under <em>Guidance from FAR 9.104-1</em> (c) Have a satisfactory performance record. &nbsp;Or <em>FAR 9.104-1</em> (a)Have adequate financial resources to perform the contract...&nbsp;</p><p>There are several Guidance from the FAR Application questions listed on the &quot;<strong>VENDOR RESPONSIBLITY REVIEW</strong>&quot;. &nbsp;Lets move the Path forward, by making the SAM entity questions, for the Auto/Body Repair small business owners, relatable to what we require them to do, as list in the FAR. &nbsp;We can incorporate the same questions as listed under the FAR Guidance, and assure that those small bussiness owners, take the path forward, with great directions!</p>

Maybe we could add a "Doing Automotive Repairs for Fleet" option be at the 1st page of the SAM reason for updates section? Something taylored specifically to our vendors, making the updating process less time consuming. Just a thought thanks
