IAE Engages Government Procurement Conference

At the Government Procurement Conference (GPC) on April 19, the GSA Integrated Award Environment (IAE) was heavily engaged in reaching the nearly 2,000 stakeholders in attendance. Product manager Katherine Rollins gave a presentation (below are the attached slides) about the latest modernization efforts in beta.SAM.gov, while other IAE representatives met with interested participants at GSA’s booth.

Rollins emphasized the benefits of merging 10 legacy sites into one and addressed the timeline for each site’s transition. She let users know they would be notified when it is time to update their accounts before each legacy site transitions and she performed a live demonstration of the beta site. The IAE representatives distributed an informational postcard (featured below and available to download here) to the audience highlighting key information about the transition.

In the display hall, IAE’s Program Analyst Anthony Melia and Design Lead Christy Hermansen gave interested users an online tour of beta.SAM.gov, answering questions about the transition and demonstrating how to provide feedback as the site continues to be developed.  Visitors who stopped by the GSA booth ranged from small business owners to prime contractors, as well as federal government representatives - all looking to foster business partnerships.
