beta.SAM.gov Progress Update Given at GPC Conference

On April 19th, the Integrated Award Environment (IAE)’s Christy Hermansen - IAE’s Design Lead, and Katherine Rollins - an IAE Product Owner for beta.SAM.gov, gave a presentation at the Government Procurement Conference (GPC) in Washington, D.C. about GSA’s progress on beta.SAM.gov.   Attendees were updated on the progress of the modernization effort and informed on plans for the product rollout and migration.

IAE is engaged in a multi-year effort to transition 10 online federal award management systems into 1 streamlined system.  IAE calls that streamlined/modernized system beta.SAM.gov.  By unifying key functionalities in a cloud-based ‘app store’ and data factory, the IAE aims to reduce the burden for those who wish to do business with the federal government. The IAE is using best practices in Agile methodology to modernize into the new environment.

After the GPC Conference, an article was written in Bloomberg Government.  See below to read the article.
