Last week, I had the opportunity to discuss OASIS with Federal News Radio host Roger Waldron, president of The Coalition for Government Procurement. It was a pleasure to be interviewed by Roger, who has more than 20 years of government contracting experience. He was previously a senior procurement executive for the GSA from 2005 thru 2007; therefore, he has a great understanding of our business and knew just the right questions to ask.

Hello Industry! As mentioned in a blog posting last week about one-on-one feedback sessions, we are in the process of developing a methodology for conducting these sessions between Industry and the OASIS team.

I think that if you engage in non-exclusive teaming, then you might wish to also consider a form of a core team which is exclusive, as well. My thoughts there are two aspects to the teaming question:Cross-Engagement Delivery of Core Disciplines –...Read More

I would suggest you allow multiple NAICS entries for each registrant in the OASIS company profile database.  Primary NAICS is often misleading.  What would work best for me would be a menu of NAICS and allow the respondent to check the ones...Read More

Hello everyone, and welcome back to the OASIS Industry Community. At the OASIS information forums held at GSA EXPO last month, one of the things our team heard loud and clear was that many Industry partners wanted to be able to provide feedback in a one-on-one manner as opposed to a public forum. Furthermore, the Oasis team learned that many companies have policies prohibiting employees from contributing to public websites like Interact.

Welcome back to the OASIS Interact website.  Last week, members of our OASIS Team went out to San Antonio, Texas for GSA Expo where they met various stakeholders and gathered a whole lot of information.  They answered questions and gathered data for our ongoing market research.  Unfortunately, due to some health issues, I was not able to attend personally, but all the reports I’ve gotten are uniformly positive.  Rest assured that we will be taking all this information in and reviewing it as we move forward on our Acquisition Plan and our Draft Request for Proposal (RFP).

This week I’d like to cycle back to the theme of Communications. If you’ve been paying attention to our announcements here, you will know that we recently posted details about our Information Forums at GSA Expo. I’d like to provide you all a little more insight into the nature of those sessions. GSA Expo will be held in San Antonio, TX from May 15 thru May 17. GSA Expo provides extensive training opportunities to federal, state, and local government employees and military members as well as showcases the wide variety of goods and services available on GSA contract vehicles.

Today, I was fortunate enough to be able to speak to TechAmerica's Federal Civil Group about OASIS. As stated previously, when I attend meetings like this, I will share my presentation (if any) along with a summary of the discussion, in the interests of transparency. I provided an overview of the OASIS program:  its background, challenges, and benefits. The presentation is attached here. During the conversation, I reiterated the themes I've been discussing in my blog.
