Interesting article on the proposed move of EPA's Kansas City, KS, headquaters. I'm guessing an analysis was conducted between renovating the existing space to attain LEED certification vs. this new facility (that is already LEED certified). LEED building standards don't account for many of the site, environmental, and commutable issues that the author raises.

Just go to http://expo.gsa.gov/training/matrix and look around.  Please take special note of the "Business Support" section in the training matrix.  This training is specifically targeted toward the private sector, and GSA Schedule Contractors.

In using the Multiple Award Schedules Program (Schedules), both GSA and the Department of Defense (DoD) continue to be strong advocates of small business.  To promote the maximum use of small businesses, GSA strongly encourages agencies to leverage Schedules in identifying small business contractors and to consider at least one small business, veteran-owned small business, service disabled veteran-owned small business, HUBZone small business, women-owned small business, or small disadvantaged business when placing an order.
