The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is one of the premier advocates of small businesses.  While small business set-asides are not allowed under the VA Federal Supply Schedules Program, we seek to utilize small businesses as much as possible. In fact, for purchases made under the VA Federal Supply Schedule Program, VA ordering facilities may:

I am always seeking ways to grw my business, but I find it difficult to market to other buyer, contractor, and administrative personnel, who work for GSA...I belive gaining ones trust and coversating being available for comments is important. working relationship grow from business, and from a genuine concern for ones well being. We live in a word where people are afraide to build relationships, but GOD has given me an open mind and a willing heart to believe there is some good in everyone, and man can not live on bread alone.

If you are writing an offer on a Schedule, it is important that you either get it submitted by 7 Dec 2011or make sure that your entries are based on the new refresh.  There are a lot of Schedules and they will not refresh the same day but MOBIS, LogWorld, Consolidated, Language and Environmental are all planned to be refreshed on 8 Dec 2011.

Section 1331 of the Small Business Jobs Act of 2010 authorized discretionary use of set-asides against multiple award contracts (i.e. Multiple Award Schedules).  This includes setting-aside orders to 8(a) contractors. The provision did not authorize the use of sole-sourcing under the various small business programs.
