A major flaw in the GSA MAS solicitation is nowhere in the body of the document does it give any marketing  advice to a new contractor as how they could market their contract.  After the solicitation turns into a contract most new contractors say to themselves or to colleagues now what do I do with it? Until there is marketing help listed within each new GSA solicitation, the mortality rate of losing new contractors in the first two years of their contract will cotinue to grow and cost the Federal Government multiples thousands of dollars per failed contract.

I've had numerous GSA contracts awarded, and every time,GSA has included the subject documentation via a link or hard-copy.  Inside this documenation, it has a whole section divoted to marketing your newly awarded GSA schedule.

Regarding SBC_07's  question scenerio, here is my assumption: 1. MOBIS contract was awarded as a small business. 2. Option renewal in December 2011 re-reppred as large. 3. Now qualifies as small under new size standards. From...Read More

As a schedule contractor it's important to understand the implications of the Small Business Jobs Act on the Schedules program and specifically what changes are taking place for your customers or potential clients.  Learn what you need to know about how the rules on set-asides have changed.  Use the resources GSA provides to help you become a resource for your customers.  It's another tool in the toolkit that you need to be able to help your customers understand fully.
