Summary:  The Court of Federal Claims (COFC) has ruled in K-LAK Corporation v. The United States (COFC 09-771C, March 09, 2011) that the Air Force acted appropriately when it chose not to exercise an option on a procurement which was an 8(a) set aside and then awarded it under the FABS Schedule instead.

Link to the case:  http://www.gao.gov/decisions/bidpro/4018762.htm DIGEST (from GAO) 1. Where solicitation established multiple "tiers" with regard to potential shipping volume that could occur, and the record establishes that the agency considered the offerors' proposed prices under each tier, the agency properly focused its price evaluation on offerors' pricing applicable to the shipping volume the agency expected to experience.

I'm interested to learn YOUR definition of green acquisition. To put the conversation into context, I work for a small, professional services firm that provides CMa (Construction Manager as agent) services for GSA. We don't design or build anything, but we're GSA's eyes and ears on a construction site. We ensure that buildings are built the way GSA expects, and mitigating risk to the Government.

Schedule contractors’ catalogs and pricelists, available on GSA Advantage!® and GSA eLibrary, contain information on a broad array of supplies and services offered by small businesses. Ordering activities may use this information to meet or exceed established socioeconomic goals. The information should also be used as a tool to identify specific small business representations: small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, HUBZone small business, woman-owned small business, and small disadvantaged business.

Today I was determined to conquer the RSS feed and get it on her from our TWITTER account.  I tried everything from a our URL to making up URLs that I thought would work.  After much research, trial and error I finally got the RSS feed for Twitter to work.  Now I just have to figure out how to get it to update to my most current post.  When it finally worked it posted an entry from a week ago even though I have posted almost daily since that time.  Something else to figure out.  Small Business you keep me on my toes.  Enjoy the site, look around and don't forget to provide feedback so we ca
