GSA is making good progress with our acquisition planning process.   Currently, we are thinking that the best way to maximize Small Business (SB) participation is through the issuance of two solicitations: one OASIS-Small Business set-aside and one OASIS unrestricted.

Does the government foresee allowing companies to form teaming arrangement (e.g. CTAs) to bid OASIS?
    OASIS Blogger
Thank you for your question. CTAs are actually a schedule terminology and not applicable to OASIS.  Decisions like joint ventures or prime/sub relationships are being made and vetted now and will be addressed in the draft RFP.  Keep monitoring...Read More

Can a company add OASIS to their contract portfolio (like a PES schedule) at any time or only through this procurement effort? Thanks
    OASIS Blogger
Hi and thanks for the question.  The direct answer to your question is that a company will NOT be able to add OASIS to their contract portfolio at any time.  Companies will have to successfully compete to be on the OASIS or OASIS SB contract,...Read More

Group Members: As you may be aware, this site was launched in its Beta version a number of weeks ago.  In an effort to identify business topics that might benefit from the use of social media/collaboration technology, the interact team identified "Sustainability in the Government" as a natural contender.

How do we use Wiki technology to collaborate?  It is intended to allow various group members to edit a web page collaboratively.  In order to make the best use of this technology it is important to understand some of the basic commands used when editing a Wiki. ==Formatting of Text== You may use apostrophes ( ' ) to make text bold, italic, or bold and italic.  2 apostrophes ( " ) make the text "italic" 3 apostrophes ( '" ) make the text "'bold'" 5 apostrophes ( ""' ) make the text ""'bold and italicized""'

Greetings OASIS Community! Today, I’d like to provide a general update on where we are and what’s coming up for OASIS. On June 11, the OASIS team asked Industry members to provide feedback on a variety of important issues via white paper. On behalf of all of us here, I’d like to thank all of the companies that took the time to respond to our request. Frankly, we were overwhelmed and thrilled with the response.

Jim, thank you so much for the update. My business did not submit a white paper, however, we are interested in learning more about the OASIS program. Although I do not have access to the MAX OMB portal, I would like to see the draft RFP when it is...Read More

Jim, It would help our planning and budgeting process to have an update target month for the DRFP release. Is this possible?

Hi Herb, and thank you very much for your question.  As was presented at EXPO and again recently at the MAGIC Conference, the anticipated timeline for release of the Draft RFP is late Summer 2012.  The OASIS Team is working...Read More

Jeff Koses presentation on July 26 at the MAGIC Conference mentions a limited number of awards based on best in class and best value determination. Can you tell us how many awards are planned for the full and open and SB? Thanks.

Hi there.  The Government has no predetermined number of awards that it plans to make.  We will award on a best value basis and there is no way to determine how many awards might be issued until proposals are received and evaluated. Jim

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their participation in the OASIS one-on-one sessions last month. The final sessions concluded last week and the team here is reviewing the tremendous amount of feedback and ideas presented by Industry. I'm proud to say we met with 65 Industry partners, and the white papers presented a total of 22 questions.  As I've emphasized before, the OASIS team considers Industry a key partner in the OASIS development process.

Somehow the announcement for the one-on-one session must have slipped by me. What options are there at this point to meet with someone in person?Thank you.Fabian

I am very interested in hearing what, if any, changes are being made to the OASIS acquistion strategy based on industry input during the one-on-ones.  Can you share that with us?

Hi there.  This is a unique question because we didn’t really have a baseline prior to conducting the One on Ones, so we can’t really point to any “changes”.  The two contract approach (OASIS and OASIS SB) is an easy...Read More

Over the past few months, Industry members have expressed concern regarding the possibility of running into an OCI-- Organizational Conflict of Interest-- and how one could impact competition. Based on recent conversations, some Industry members would like to feel more comfortable competing at the task order level.   For your reference, here is a definition of an OCI:
