Updates to eBuy and the FAS ID

Over the weekend of Oct. 10, 2020, the supplier side of GSA’s eBuy platform was updated for security purposes to a two-step, multi-factor authentication (MFA) process using GSA FAS ID - a secure, centralized identity management system that lets users access many GSA applications with one email and password. GSA FAS ID was created as part of our overall IT modernization effort and has already been implemented on  the FAS Sales Reporting Portal (SRP), GSA Advantage Purchase Order Portal, GSA Vendor Portal, and the Mass Mod Portal.

To complete the transition, GSA sent an email to all currently registered eBuy users not already using GSA FAS ID authorizing them to register for the FAS ID portal.

Unfortunately, a capacity issue related to sending these emails left some sellers without access to eBuy until Wednesday Oct.14, 2020. As a result, RFQs were extended one day, ensuring that contractors were given fair access to respond.

Please note: Contractors can add new points of contact to eBuy for access. Once added, the system should send an activation email about registering via FAS ID within 24 hours. .

For technical support contact the Vendor Support Center Helpdesk: 877-495-4849 or vendor.support@gsa.gov. Members of the media should send all questions to press@gsa.gov.

Thank you for your continued partnership.

For anyone else who ends up here, vendor support provided me with the following instructions: To add/delete anyone else who will need access to eBuy, click on Profile up in the top right hand corner and you should see where you can add a POC (name, email address) to a sin. If they don't have an FAS ID already, they will be sent an email with instructions for setting one up
Do you have any instructions about how to add new points of contact for eBuy access? I'm not sure how to do this in the new FAS ID system.
