I submitted a bid, now what?

I am still pretty new at this whole realm of Government selling but am learning a lot, and very quickly (though I feel like it took forever to learn anything). Being such, we have done a lot of leg work to contact the government contacts that interest us, etc. I do have a lot to learn yet about Marketing to the government.

However, my main question right now, is after I submit a bid (whether it is an opportunity found on ebuy or elsewhere) is there a BEST procedure to follow after submission? I know ebuy says to follow up if no response within 15 days, but is there more that we should be doing?

What does everyone else do after a bid is submitted? I understand this may vary from industry to industry but I am very curious.

<p>As per GSA instructions, Schedule contractors must submit at least one Universal Product Code (UPC) per SIN. Is this requirement applicable to web service or SaaS solutions as well, and especially when you do not sell software products thru retail or distributors.</p>

<p>Hi Ramesh,&nbsp;</p><p>I apologize for the delayed response to your question. We had to do quite a bit of digging to get you an accurate answer. It was truly a team effort. I hope this clarification helps. &nbsp;<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 16px;">Regulation I-FSS-597 in the IT Schedule 70 solicitation requires at least one UPC submission per SIN; however, this is not applicable to all SINs. GSA&#39;s Vendor Support Center (VSC) website lists which SINs the UPC requirement is applicable to. Currently, the only SIN the UPC requirement is applicable to IT Schedule 70 is SIN 132-8: New Equipment. <p>When you mention bid does that equate to a quote? If yes, I guess all the quotes will have to be evaluated and depending on what your evaluation criteria is in terms of past performance and technical factors being significantly more important than cost/price then it will be a tradeoff.</p>

<p>Yes, that is correct. Just be certain that you adhere to the instructions laid out in the in the RFP or RFQ.</p>
