Don't Forget! The OASIS Industry Partner Contact Form is Still Taking Submissions! - Oct 18, 2012

Hello Industry Partners, In response to the great amount of feedback we received from industry members regarding the development of a spreadsheet for companies interested in reaching out to potential industry partners in preparation for the OASIS draft RFP, the OASIS team created an Industry Contact Form a few months ago. To date, more than 60 industry partners have submitted their contact information. We have been distributing the spreadsheet bi-weekly to only those companies that submit information.

If you haven't submitted your firm's information to the OASIS Industry Contact Form, we encourage you to do so! The more submissions we receive, the more valuable the spreadsheet becomes as a resource for industry.

Please let us know if you have any questions or comments; as always, you can email them to oasis@gsa.gov.

Jim,

The response to Stephanie's question above leads me to another question. Given the potential expansive scope of services to be provided via OASIS, I wonder about the feasibility of small business primes to credibility respond to the requirements without consideration of an entire proposed team (including subcontractors). Most small business success comes from being strong and dynamic in a particular functional area or two (like logistics and engineering) as opposed to covering the waterfront on all possible requirements (like large primes can do). Small businesses generally have to team (subcontract) to cover requirements where they lack core capabilities.

Will the same "prime only" evaluation approach be taken on the small business contract? Or, will you use some other means of evaluating total capabilities? For example, would you consider evaluating small business subcontractors that are part of a small business primes team (as opposed to a small business prime simply pointing to a large subcontractor that does "everything")?

Thanks Jim,

Damien

As follow on to Stephanie's question:

At the contract/BPA level - will GSA allow a contractor to submit a proposal response as a Prime and also as a subcontractor to another prime?

Thanks.

Hello - we were wondering if GSA would allow a contractor to submit a proposal for OASIS as a prime, and also participate as a subcontractor on a team?

Thanks

Stephanie
