The AbilityOne Program, under the Javits-Wagner -O’Day Act, is a mandatory source program that provides the Federal Government with the ability to contract directly for supplies and services with Nonprofit Agencies (NPAs) that service individuals with a significant of disabilities.
The U.S. AbilityOne Commission is a federal agency responsible for ensuring the Act is implemented by using Central Nonprofit Agencies as the liaison between the government and the nonprofit agency (contractor).
