USAccess system release 18.0 is tentatively scheduled for Production the weekend of June 20-21, 2020. The Release Notice was distributed and posted to the Agency Lead Portal (ALP). Most of the system enhancements are related to the transition to V8.1 PIV cards. The release includes the following changes:

• Set V7 PIV card expiration date to align with the OMB-mandated date of June 30, 2024
  • USAccess will prevent new V7 cards from having an expiration date beyond June 30, 2024.
  • USAccess will not allow issuance of V7 cards after January 1, 2024. Sponsors will need to select the V8.1 PIV card body type after this date.
• Support V7 or V8.1 PIV Card Type at Agency, Sub-Agency and Applicant Levels
• Quarterly Update of Installers for Light Activation (LA) and Mobile Credentialing Units (MCU)
  • Note: The LA and MCU installers will not have full functionality if installed earlier than the release weekend. More information will be provided in the upcoming LA and MCU Release Notice.
• Update Assured Identity Print Service Certificate that will expire on August 10, 2020. This certificate is required for the Local Print and the Personal Credential Assistant (PCA) service.
  • Note: If agencies run the LA and MCU installers prior to the release weekend,the local print capability will not work. Agencies must run the installers prior to August 10, 2020 to continue local print capability. More information will be provided in the upcoming LA and MCU Release Notice.
• Web Enrollment Optimization Capability upgrade to the current photo capture software that adds a manual optimization feature. Manual optimization will be allowed if the initial attempt to auto-optimize is not successful.
• Update the Help Desk Tickets Service Now (SNOW) Report in the USAccess Reports Portal to add Site Code information and the ability to change column headers.
