The Struggle is Real. OSBU Can Help.

At GSA’s Office of Small Business Utilization (OSBU), we know how small businesses struggle. We know that the struggle is real. To help you succeed, we continue to offer training and events that provide insight into doing business with the Federal government and give you a chance to collaborate with your peers.

One such event is just around the corner. Our Summer Small Business Development Fair is taking place in the GSA Headquarters conference center on Tuesday, June 28. All small businesses are invited to attend with a special invitation to HUBZone prime contractor's.  We will have a workshop on how small businesses can find opportunities and partner for success with great speakers like  Arthur Collins, HUBZone Deputy Director, Small Business Administration and Christy L. Jackiewicz, National Customer Care and Outreach Manager, OSBU.

You’ll also have a chance to hear from GSA leadership about successful initiatives that will make a difference in contracting with the government over all.

We’ll wrap up the fair with free counseling from GSA and SBA as well as a demonstration of the new GSA forecast tool by helping you find planned and active opportunities.

If you are into Cyber Security, consider attending the upcoming Cybersecurity National Action Plan Workshop. GSA will host  Department of Homeland Security (DHS) representatives discussing risk and vulnerability assessments and their incident response processes. GSA speakers will focus on the use of small businesses, pending acquisition strategies and more. The workshop takes place in the GSA Headquarters auditorium on Monday, June 13. For On-Demand training, check out the pre-recorded session with OASIS Program Manager Todd Richards who recently conducted a webinar about the innovative solutions for complex professional services that his program provides. The OASIS webinar included information about who can use OASIS and how Federal agencies can take advantage of the professional services offered through the program. OASIS has very lofty small business goals and provides many opportunities for small businesses to compete for government contracts. While the audience for the webinar is government agencies, knowing what they are told about programs ultimately helps you market your services better to your customers.
