Service Enhancements - September 2019

Changes/Updates Since Last Blue Top

  • August 9-11, 2019: Annual Disaster Recovery exercise was completed as scheduled.
  • September 6-8, 2019: Routine monthly maintenance completed as scheduled. The maintenance started on Friday evening, September 6 and ran through the end of the day Sunday, September 8.

Planned System Events

  • September 21-22, 2019: Routine monthly maintenance and USAccess Software Release 16.1 are scheduled for this weekend. Please plan for the USAccess Service to be unavailable starting at 5:30 a.m. ET on Saturday, September 21 through 11:59 p.m. ET on Sunday, September 22. This release includes updates to the Assured Identity Scheduler tool that is used by Registrars and Activators to manage their center appointments. Please see the USAccess Release 16.1 notice posted on the Agency Lead Portal.
  • September 27, 2019 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. ET: Entrust plans to cut over to new Root and SSP CA certificates. Agencies should not plan to conduct any activation activities during this time while the cutover occurs.
  • September 28-29, 2019: Routine monthly maintenance is scheduled for this weekend. Please plan for the USAccess Service to be unavailable starting at 5:30 a.m. ET on Saturday, September 28 through 11:59 p.m. ET on Sunday, September 29.
  • End of September: There will be new MCU and LA installers made available at the end of September that includes updates required by these workstations once USAccess Software Release 17 moves to production. Release 17 is tentatively targeted for mid-November, thereby giving Agencies extra time to apply the updates. A draft release notice for the new installers will be sent out next week that provides information on the contents of the installers.
  • October 5-6, 2019: Routine monthly maintenance is scheduled for this weekend. Please plan for the USAccess Service to be unavailable starting at 5:30 a.m. ET on Saturday, October 5 through 11:59 p.m. ET on Sunday, October 6.
  • November 2-3, 2019: Routine monthly maintenance is scheduled for this weekend. Please plan for the USAccess Service to be unavailable starting at 5:30 a.m. ET on Saturday, November 2 through 11:59 p.m. ET on Sunday, November 3.

Please be aware that planned maintenance periods can sometimes result in unanticipated delays in service. Please ensure that systems are operable prior to your first appointment following a maintenance weekend. We will notify you of unanticipated delays.
