Service Enhancements - October 2018

Changes/updates since last Blue Top


  • September 15-16: USAccess Release 13.2 was completed as scheduled. The final release notice is posted on the Agency Lead Portal. This release included a change to the USAccess servers to disable TLS 1.0, therefore workstations connecting to the USAccess service had to apply the TLS 1.2 hotfix posted on the USAccess SFTP server to coincide with this release.
  • September 29-30: Routine monthly maintenance was completed as scheduled.

Planned system events

  • November 3-4: Routine monthly maintenance is scheduled for this weekend. Please plan for the USAccess service to be unavailable starting at 5:30 a.m. ET on Saturday, November 3 through 11:59 p.m. ET on Sunday, November 4.
  • November 10-12: USAccess Release 14.0 was rescheduled from Oct. 6-7 to Nov. 10-12.

The release was rescheduled to allow Agencies time to upgrade mobile machines (LA, LCS, MCUs and desktop rekey workstations) with the new ActiveX controls required to complete activations and updates once Release 14 is pushed to production next month. If systems are not updated, they cannot complete activations or updates.

The new LA, LCS and MCU installers are posted on the USAccess SFTP server and can be deployed at any time as they work in the current USAccess infrastructure. There is also a .zip file for desktop rekey that includes the new ActiveX controls.

Plan for the USAccess service to be unavailable from 5:30 a.m. ET on Saturday, November 10 through 11:59 p.m. ET on Monday, November 12.


Please be aware that planned maintenance periods can sometimes result in unanticipated delays in service. Please ensure that systems are operable prior to your first appointment following a maintenance weekend. We will notify you of unanticipated delays.
