Seeking Industry Feedback: GSA’s Forecast of Contracting Opportunities

Seeking Industry Feedback: GSA’s Forecast of Contracting Opportunities GSA’s Forecast of Contracting Opportunities is a primary means for communicating contracting needs to the vendor community. The GSA Office of Small Business Utilization is in the process of developing a new and improved contract forecasting tool to help provide vendors with the information they need to successfully do business with GSA. We are seeking vendor feedback on the current tool (e.g., what information is helpful, what needs improvement). We would also appreciate input on the capabilities and information that would be helpful in a new tool, such as enhanced search features. The current Forecast of Contracting Opportunities is available at www.gsa.gov/smallbizforecast. Please post your suggestions here to help us develop the best system possible to meet your business needs! Thank you for partnering with us!
First fo all a very good and useful database - tank you.

Several of the categories (column headings) have multiple and seemigly duplicative sub-e;mns. Since users can select (via drop don menu) the sub-elements they desire information for, there is no need to have the same item listed multple times in diffferent groupings - in fact is is potentily confusing (do select every item where 8(a) is incuded or just one item?) . Specifically applicable to socio-economic categories and place of performance columns.

I would like to see the categories use a standard name. For example under socioeconomic you have "Full & Open", "Full & Open Competition", "Full & Open Comp". Is there a capability to add an award and solicitation number?
