Save the Date: Public Meeting (June 21, 2018)

It has been two months since our Phase I report was submitted and we would like to re-engage with industry and other interested parties as we continue Phase II and our period of market research.

To that end, OMB and GSA will be conducting our second modified town-hall style public meeting in furtherance of the Commercial e-Commercial Portal initiative. This meeting will take place on Thursday, June 21st from 8:30AM - 1:00PM EST at the GSA Auditorium, GSA Headquarters, located at 1800 F St NW, Washington, DC 20405. Attendees can attend the meeting in person or virtually through GSA’s Internet meeting platform, Adobe Connect.

Information regarding registration and the agenda for the public meeting will be posted to this Commercial Platform Interact group over the coming weeks.

GSA is planning to share information related to the approach proposed in the Phase I deliverable and to respond to questions from industry.  Additionally, the team is seeking feedback from providers of commercial e-commerce portal as well as suppliers selling on commercial e-commerce portals. This feedback will help the Government inform its Phase 2 deliverable and help us to design our FY19 proof of concept.

In addition to this planned public meeting, Requests for Information (RFIs) will be released by GSA in the coming weeks seeking more detailed feedback from suppliers selling on commercial e-commerce portal and providers of commercial e-commerce portals regarding initial ideas for general program design, terms and conditions, and product categories. We will also be discussing the questions posed in these RFIs during the public meeting.

Information regarding these RFIs will be posted to GSA Interact as well the Federal Register.

Stay tuned for more information and we thank you for your continued support and insights as we work on this important initiative.
