GSA’s Office of Professional Services and Human Capital Categories has made the OASIS Price Estimating Tool (PET), a resource to assist agencies in developing the labor portion of the independent government cost estimate (IGCE) for OASIS task orders, easier to access and use.
The tool was previously only accessible via the Assisted Acquisitions ASSIST portal, requiring agencies and industry partners to set up an account and log.
By completing a few simple fields, users can conduct a wage comparisons across different occupations, experience and qualifications levels, indirect rate levels, and metropolitan statistical areas. Note, understanding the standardized labor categories in the OASIS contracts is necessary to successful use of the tool.
PET has undergone many exciting optimizations in the last few months making it a more robust and easier to use tool than ever before. IGCE’s can be generated in either Excel or PDF formats and include base plus option pricing. Users are encouraged to use the Price Estimating Tool User Guide when using the tool.
Access the tool directly via https://oasispet.gsa.gov.You can also still access the OASIS Pricing Tool via the ASSIST web portal. Users must be registered in the GSA ASSIST Web Based application in order to access the module this way. A link to PET can also be found on the OASIS Research Tools webpage.
