Now buy MRO supplies at discounted prices

As the end of the year purchasing cycle approaches, federal agencies now have a cheaper option to buy their maintenance, repair and operations supplies at prices lower than previously available--an up to 12% discount.

GSA has recently launched its strategic sourcing MRO purchase channel, which covers a massive range of products including standard and specialty parts, hand and power tools, drills, tool cabinets, nuts, bolts, hoses and valves, paints, paint brushes, safety equipment, and portable generators. Plus lots more!

This solution will allow customers to order direct from MRO’s 12 contractors, the U.S. Department of Defense EMALL and GSA Advantage!™. As of July 17, pricing is currently available through GSA contractors only. See www.gsa.gov/fssimro for a full listing. Pricing will be available through GSA Advantage! and DoD EMALL within the next few weeks.

GSA also has made the process of buying hardware products easier. There is less product duplication and, by streamlining the number of contractors, comparison shopping will be simpler. Plus, with direct delivery now available, shipping will be more prompt and cost-effective.

Eleven of the 12 MRO purchase channel contractors are small business, and all are AbilityOne-authorized distributors. All MRO products that are Berry Amendment and Trade Agreement Act compliant will be noted as such on GSA Advantage! and contractor websites.

Visit www.gsa.gov/fssimro to learn more. There you can access the full list of contractors and their websites where you can place your orders TODAY. Download a copy of our program Quick Guide. A full version ordering guide will be made available soon.

Starting in August, GSA also will be offering webinar training and an on-demand video that will walk you through the ordering process. Stay tuned for training dates and times…
