New Content Added to the Professional Services Hallway

Last week, the Professional Services Category Team added five new articles to the federal government section of the Professional Services Hallway on the Acquisition Gateway including:

  1. Request for Information: Contract Audit Support Services Initiative

  2. Rulings Feature: Technical Professional Services, Inc. B-410640 and B-410640.2

  3. Contracting Perspective: OMB Memo on Identity Protection Services

  4. Contracting Perspective: Understanding the Government-wide Categories and the DoD-wide Taxonomy

  5. Contracting Perspective: Shared Services Transitional Support Article

In addition, we added and six new Statements of Work in the Statement of Work Library.  The Statement of Work Library provides users with the means to filter, search and sort more than 170 statements of work (SOW) and performance work statements (PWS) to use as the basis of future acquisitions. All the content in this library is available for download both as MS Word documents and as PDFs. The collection will continue to grow as federal agencies and industry partners provide GSA with additional examples to share.

Finally, we added a Foreign Language Services Ordering Guide, written by the Language Services Procurement Committee (LSPC), a committee of the Interagency Working Group on Limited English Proficiency. The guide is one of several language services related policies, videos and expert articles accessible through designed to help federal agencies improve access to services for persons with limited English proficiency.  The LSPC is led by the Federal Coordination and Compliance Section, Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. The committee is made up of representatives from nine federal agencies seeking to improve how the federal community purchases language services, and the quality of the language services acquired.

About the Acquisition Gateway

The Acquisition Gateway helps the federal acquisition workforce from all agencies act as one acquisition community. Inside the Gateway, users can find unbiased comparisons of government-wide acquisition solutions, connect with other acquisition professionals, and explore product and service category “hallways.” The hallways feature resources and tools to help acquisition pros achieve successful outcomes at each step of the acquisition lifecycle.

Sharing these resources with the federal community via the Acquisition Gateway is one of the goals of category management of making information accessible in a single online location and allowing agencies to provide valuable feedback on important and relevant policies and issues.

Accessing the Acquisition Gateway

To access the Acquisition Gateway, federal government users first need to assign their personal identity verification (PIV or CAC) card with an Office of Management and Budget MAX User ID. For additional information on the Acquisition Gateway and directions for logging in the first time see GSA.gov.

The public may visit the site at https://hallways.cap.gsa.gov/ and click on the Non-Federal Government & Public Users button. Please note that this is a more limited access option.
