In an effort to make it easier than ever for federal agencies to buy professional services using GSA’s Multiple Award Schedule (MAS), GSA’s Office of Professional Services and Human Capital Categories (PSHC) developed a series of acquisition planning packages that facilitate the development and solicitation in the respective subcategories.
The acquisition planning packages, available on GSA.gov include guidance and sample documents designed to simplify the buying process for customer agencies, improve GSA professional services offerings, and increase spend under management (SUM) by helping the federal government buy smarter and more efficiently.

GSA Schedule provides a simple, easy, and fast way to acquire professional services to meet your unique acquisition challenges. Using the streamlined procurement procedures in FAR Subpart 8.4, MAS offers federal agencies access to 4,000+ experienced contractors who provide a range of commercial professional services at competitive prices. In addition, as a Tier II contract, using GSA Schedule helps agencies meet SUM goals per OMB M-19-13
The acquisition planning package will help promote RFI/RFQ standardization and best practices so that the Government and industry know what to expect and can more rapidly review and respond to requirements.
