MRO requisition channel draft RFQ available for comment

As part of its ongoing approach to streamline operations and save costs, the U.S. General Services Administration, Federal Acquisition Service, Global Supply Program, is leveraging the purchasing volume of strategic suppliers capable of providing exceptional service and prices to the federal government.

Based on previous industry feedback, the Federal Strategic Sourcing MRO office has released an updated draft Request for Quotations to establish Blanket Purchase Agreements against Schedule 51-V and is seeking industry and customer feedback. This RFQ covers the Maintenance, Repair and Operations Requisition Channel. The overall goal of this Requisition Channel acquisition is to provide the government with a fast and efficient way for federal agencies to requisition for MRO supplies and commodities at discounted prices with prompt, cost-effective delivery and effective customer service. The Requisition Channel differs from the Purchasing Channel and is split into two categories, Hardware and Tools.

GSA will be accepting feedback from July 15 through July 30, 2014. You can find the RFQ document at https://interact.gsa.gov/sites/default/files/MRORequisitionChannelDraftRFQ_July2014.pdf. You can either post comments here, once signed into your Interact profile, or you can formally submit feedback through:
Based upon this feedback, the final requisition channel RFQ is estimated to be available for quote by Q4 FY2014.
