A Look Back at 2012, A Look Ahead to 2013 - December 19, 2012

Hello Industry Partners, As we wrap up a very busy year, I’d like to take some time to reflect on 2012 and share where we are headed in 2013. Aided greatly by an engaged Interact Industry Community, we made some terrific progress in 2012, embarking on some key development activities including:

-Setting up one-on-one meetings with you, our industry partners;

-Establishing the industry partner contact form to help companies find potential partners;

- Selecting a NAICS code and size standard;

- Developing preliminary OASIS labor categories;

- Developing preliminary Evaluation Criteria;

- Creating a small business set-aside contract for OASIS, known as OASIS SB; and

- Posting the OASIS Business Case on OMB’s MAX Portal for comment by the agencies.

In addition, the OASIS community on GSA Interact has reached more than 2,000 members. The team here is thrilled to see that the community has generated so much interest; we thank you all for your support.

Going forward into 2013, our next steps will be to:

    (1) receive and consider agencies’ comments on the Business Case; and then
    (2) post a redacted copy of the Business Case here on GSA Interact for Industry’s review (for market research purposes).
    (3) Following this cycle, and coordination with the Office of Federal Procurement Policy, the OASIS team will officially release the draft RFPs for both OASIS and OASIS SB.

Again, thank you all for your interest and participation in this community. As I’ve emphasized before, collaboration is key to the success of this exciting new business solution. I encourage all of you to continue checking in with us for the latest information about OASIS, and of course, sharing your questions, comments, feedback, and ideas!

I wish you all a happy holiday season and a wonderful New Year!

Good Afternoon Jim,

I have read through the blogs, but I have not seen a reference to facility clearances. Will a clearance be a requirement for OASIS and OASIS SB? Thanks.

Jim,

First I wanted to say - glad you are feeling better. And yes- your team was great in your absence.

My question is: When do you plan on posting the redacted copy of the Business Case on the Interact site for Industry comment?

Thanks.

Happy New Year Jim,

What is the schedule for receiving Agency(s) comments on the Business Case? Thanks.

Jim,

Hope you had a great holiday and a safe new year weekend.

Now that we are into the new year can you share with us any progress on preparing the draft RFP for release? Is Jan a firm release month or is it possible that feedback from other agencies have slowed the process a bit?

Thanks, John

We are still gathering support for the program and want to ensure that when we put out the draft documents we get full participation and receive all the critical feedback that we need to deliver an excellent end product. We are gathering feedback from some very important Government personnel right now and will issue the drafts once that is complete. We are still hoping and intending that will be by the end of January. Jim
